Hornady’s user-friendly kit uses the leverage of the press to pull out the stuck case without dam - aging your die. The kit consists of a #7 drill, a 1 / 4 "-20 tap, and the remover body. Simply drill and tap a hole in the bottom of the case through the primer pocket, install the remover body in the shellholder ram and use the leverage of the press to extract the case. Fits most presses with a universal shellholder ram (Hornady, Redding, RCBS, etc.).

Doesn't work on .223 [...](2011-03-03)
This was the cheapest stuck case remover I could find. When I received the product I could see why. Nothing special here! Only thing that I couldn't have put together from my tool box and junk draw was the spacer. Still had to go into the washer bin to find some extra washers to take up the aprox. 1/2" space between the spacer and extractor screw head when screwed in to the point of contacting the primmer pusher inside the die. I would suggest a semi bull nosed tap instead of the full length tap as the tap passes 95% of the taper before it starts to cut and the tap also touches the primmer removal stud before the case is completely tapped to allow screwing in the extraction screw. Yes product works but use caution with jamming or bending the primmer stud inside the die. It is worth the [$] to have the spacer alone and to save your dies. Will keep and use again but if it were something I had to use anymore than once in a while I would replace and buy another product.
Excellent Product(2016-03-04)
The previous post said this does not work on .223 Rem cases... I guess I should have read his review before I used it on my 223 dies for the 20th time with 100% success. This kit comes with EVERYTHING you need. I have used this between 223 and 7mm Magnum and I have never had a shell that it could not tackle. The hardest part is the drilling. You have to balance the power you place on the bit when drilling so you don't bury the bit into your expander ball/decapping pin. If you secure your die in a vice, drill it out, use the provided tap (does not come with handles, but will chuck into your drill) and then use the screw and spacer provided, there is nothing this bad boy can't handle. I know you are not "supposed" to use the tap in a drill, but keep firm pressure and a slow speed, and it works every time. You must make sure to clean the die and inspect for damage as you will have shavings fall into your die and it will get nasty inside. I can't tell you how many times this set of tools has paid for itself. You can spend the $5 each time to send your dies in and have it removed, or purchase this and do it yourself (this is the exact tool Hornady uses so I'm told). You save the time and money in the long run.
