SINCLAIR STAINLESS ULTIMATE TRIMMER - The legendary L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer has just gotten better. Exclusive to Sinclair International, the L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer is now offered in a Stainless Steel model. Weâve paired the most accurate trimmer in the world with our Sinclair Micrometer head to create the Sinclair Stainless Ultimate Trimmer. The L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer aligns and holds your cases square to the cutter during the trim process. This results in a virtually identical trim length for each case. It is accomplished with L.E. Wilsonâs unique case holder system which holds the case by the body taper. The trimmer case holder, cutter housing, and micrometer adjustment unit sit in perfect alignment. No pilots or collets are utilized which could influence the trim results negatively. Now in stainless steel, the L.E. Wilson Trimmer is built to last for a lifetime of use. Our Sinclair Micrometer head allows the reloader to easily adjust trim length in increments of .001" with an adjustment length of over 2". Our micrometer reads in âactualâ case length, making it the most pleasurable micro trimmer to work with. Determine your trim length, dial to the exact length on the micrometer, and youâre ready â itâs that simple. The micrometer features crisp, easy-to-read engravings and may be locked in place when set. Easily accommodates cases from 22 Hornet to 416 Rigby. When trimming cases shorter than 1.3â such as pistol cases, the use of a spacer (part number WX11) is necessary. Completing the Sinclair Stainless Ultimate Trimmer is our Sinclair Mounting Stand with Shark Fin Clamp. This system makes easy work of installing and removing your trimmer case holder in a smooth âswing-armâ motion. The Shark Fin trimmer clamp secures the case head firmly against the micrometer adjustment head for a quick and accurate, chatter-free trim. * Trimmer Case Holders and accessories sold separately. PLATFORM - The idea for this platform originated from a writer/customer of ours. The platform is a mounting board for the L.E. Wilson trimmer series that provides storage space for nine (9) case holders and a tapping block for knocking the cases out of the holder. The polyethylene platform has rubber feet, but most of us prefer it c-clamped to the bench.

Sinclair/Wilson Trimmer is hard to beat!(2012-10-24)
I've been looking to upgrade my trimming process for a while now, and this setup can't be beat. I like the Wilson because it holds the cases by the body, not the rim like almost all other brands. It does not take any more time to use this one, in fact I think it is faster than my friend's Forster.
The micrometer from Sinclair works great, it was already pre-adjusted from the factory. The shark fin thing is an absolute necessity and works fine. I did learn to not hold the case while cutting though, as I had a few of the first cases coming out shorter than I wanted. That's when I realized I was accidentally pushing them to the right while trying to hold them down, so now I don't touch the case holder at all when trimming and they come out perfect.
The base is nice and looks good, but it is not heavy enough, you still need to clamp it down to the bench or hold it with your left hand. Knowing that now, I'm not sure I would buy the base again, but it is nice looking and convenient to have the plastic knock-block right there. All in all I really like this product and it will be something that will be in my family for many years.
Great for Rifle - Horrible for Pistol(2013-04-07)
Saw the videos and read about using this trimmer. No problem. Put the case into the holder, tap it, set it on the rails, and with the micrometer already adjusted - trim. That's how it is for a rifle. Put a .45 or a 9mm in there. Now the part they don't tell you till you order the holder. "Drive the case in with a mallet OR AN ARBOR PRESS, trim it and then drive it back out. Will probably have to use a wooden dowel". You have got to be kidding me. If you are trimming pistol this is NOT the trimmer you want.
It works(2014-06-19)
This trimmer is easy to set up and use and with a LE Wilson case gauge it very easy to set up and change Cal.
Outstanding Trimmer(2014-07-02)
I received this trimmer today and trimmed my first 50 cases... almost the moment I pulled it from the box! I was very excited to have this trimmer after a month of researching EVERYTHING on the market. I was well more than satisfied. It was very easy to set up. Mine was a slightly off zero, but it was very easy to set. I love the ergonomics and didn't have any problems with the base moving. Granted, I kept my left hand on the base, but it felt natural to do so. I certainly didn't feel like I was fighting it. The cutter was quick and very clean-cutting. Over the 50 cases I did, I recorded 0.0005" fluctuation in length on a few cases. I am trimming once fired military crimped brass and I know the crimp is bulged on some of the cases. This could account for the variation, as the bulged areas could be falling inside the recess on the micrometer end, while still reading on my calipers. I'm not sure, though that sounds reasonable.
I shouldn't need another trimmer for years, but I would have no reservation about buying another one of these. I love the features, feel, look, and accuracy. Definitely a recommended addition!!! Thanks Sinclair.
A mixed bag.(2014-12-19)
The shell holders measure ~.97", the bearing through which the cutter passes is only ~.95". The shell holder and tool center do not line up!
I contacted Sinclair tech support who confirmed what I'm seeing and then referred me to Wilson tech support. I haven't heard from Wilson yet.
For case trimming the misalignment is of no real consequence. However for reaming, chamfering or primer pocket work the tool is useless as configured.
In my opinion, the Wilson method of holding the cases is superior to everything else.
My solution... have a new bearing machined that is of the correct dimension and have it bored to fit Forster cutters and accessories. The best of the two best!
BUILT LIKE A TANK(2015-09-24)
A fantastic tool -- Used mainly for handgun cases, and sloved the problem of beating them in and out with a mallet-- picked up a small arbor press and saves time as well-- get the upgraded handle as well--
worth the money (2015-12-17)
I'm new to reloading but quickly found out that this case trimmer gave me the most accurate end result I have tried other 's but there is no comparison. Two thumbs up
Sinclair case trimmer(2016-09-20)
Just received my Sinclair case trimmer and found the set up very
straight forward and easy. I shoot a 6.5x47 Lapua for 1000 yd
comp. My lyman trimmer would hold no better than 2-3 thousandths case length, the Sinclair holds less than .001 every time. Thanks for a product that performs as advertised. I would recommend this trimmer to any one who wants precision case trimming. Case trimming as with all other aspects of reloading will
enhance your groups down range. I will be purchasing some other
reloading equip from Sinclair.
Kit makes the tool(2016-10-17)
Using this for benchrest loads. the platform and shark fin holder not only make it easy to use, but positions the case accurately against the the screw and holds it securely. and accurately. The platform features provide a real work station with the bumping and storage features. No need to clamp for me.
The best manual trimmer available(2017-05-01)
While it was confusing at first trying to determine which case holders were needed for the calibers I reload, it's worth the effort.
This trimmer is a precision tool. As such, you may not need it. But if you like a nice square trim that is the same every time this one can't be beat.
Rifle calibers I trim on this trimmer include: 7mm08, 308, 7mmRM, 300WSM, 30-06, 375H&H.
Pistol calibers I trim are: 357 Mag, 41 Mag, 44 Mag, 45 Colt, 454 Casull, 460 S&W Mag.
To trim the pistol cartridges, use the crossbar style holders and not the arbor press type. WILSON sells both so make sure you get the right ones. You also cannot use the shark fin with the pistol holders because it gets in the way of the crossbar that the pistol holders use to keep the cases in tight.
Simply remove it to trim pistol brass and put it back when your done.
Believe it or not, once you get the hang of using this trimmer, it's as fast or faster than my RCBS was and the results are so much better.
Get one.
Better than the rest...... But(2017-11-13)
This trimmer in general is quite a good idea and trims very well. good design, good idea But is inconsistent. Once it is set and the thumbscrew tightened it is repeatable. mine has about 5 thousandths of "drift". Basically the spindle of the micrometer has "play" in it which does not give me the ability to trim cases let's say 308. then if I trim something else like 30 06 or whatever. Then next time I trim 308 and set the trimmer to the same length as the previous 308 setting I have found it to be 3-5 thousandths of an inch off. so, I have to get it close, trim a case and adjust up or down a little to get the length right where it should be. it's a hit and miss if you expect it to be precisely where the micrometer indicates. so basically, you need to know how to adjust this trimmer and it works absolutely great!
Got it fixed!!(2017-11-22)
As seen above it is INACCURATE when used with Sinclair micrometer. What I did, took the micrometer apart, made a new spindle with 1/2 thousandth clearance in the bushing. I also used steel rod. The threads are also better now. When I trim a case or back and forth between about 7 different calibers all with different lengths this trimmer is perfect..... Exact to within .0005 or less. Yes better than 1/2 thousands. I'm now happy. But be advised when using the original Sinclair micrometer.
Awesome trimmer(2018-06-17)
As others have said, micrometer has a bit of drift to it, if you turn in too far and have to back out it lags a couple of hairs. Easy solution though, I found on mine as long as I turn it in to the exact measurement I want it works every time, so now when I reset I make sure to back out the micrometer well past what I'm setting up for and then turn in precisely to my cut. So far has worked every time and cuts very well.
As with everything consistency is the key, that and measure everything. Love the tray that comes with the everything kit too, hold all my shellholder and my case gauges (which occasionally I am guilty of using when I'm on the couch trimming and I dont want to get my calipers). Measure of how well the trimmer works though that once you get used to it you can get away from the calipers for a little bit.
Excellent Trimmer(2018-09-28)
I upgraded to this trimmer from an earlier model Sinclair trimmer. The micrometer spindle provides an accurate length measurement and is easily adjustable. The wide base is stable and does not require clamping to the bench. The shark fin clamp secures the case holder on the trimmer very well. I especially like the tapping block to seat and remove the case from the holder.
