Pre-machined aluminum pillars solve the difficult problem of bedding Ruger bolt action centerfire rifles. The front pillar is cut to match the 60 degree angle of the receiver screw; pre-notched with the correct contour and angles to fit against the bottom of the recoil lug and set square with the floorplate hinge. Fits all Ruger® 77 and M77® Mark II™ rifles except VT target models.
SPECS: Aluminium, naturlig finish. Fram - .600" (15.2mm) lång, .535" (13.6mm) diameter. Bak - 1.145" (2.9cm) lång, .535" (13.6mm) diameter.

Front pillar needs some work(2012-03-29)
The rear pillar was just fine. The front pillar when placed properly on the recoil lug was too far forward casuing the action screw to touch the rear inide of the pillar, and would not align properly within the stock. Solution: Center the front pillar which also aligns it properly in the stock, then fill in the gap between the pillar and the rear of the recoil lug with bedding materail. Both pillars were intentionally long and required 30-40 thousands of shortening.
Incorrectly manufactured(2012-04-03)
The notch in the front pillar is too far back leaving a gap between the rear of the recoil lug and the pillar.
Very satisfied!(2013-02-28)
I have read the other reviews and haven't had those problems, I think these work exceptionally well.
Not close(2014-06-09)
Front pillar was way short, by at least 1/4" and narrow. I used them on the M77 in the past so I don't know why they changed. Ended up making my own.
Worked very well for me(2017-04-18)
These pillars fit perfectly in my early 70's vintage M77 and improved accuracy dramatically, as noted by the four mulies killed, one shot each, from 100 to 320 yards last fall. Check fit for length and recoil lug angle match prior to installing and you should be fine. I'm buying three more sets for my other 77's.
