Fully Adjustable, Easy Installation; Rugged Aluminum Housing Adjustable trigger kit lets you select the weight of pull, let-off, and overtravel that best suit your style of shooting. Comfortable, .330" factory width, trigger shoe delivers excellent feel, vertical grooves give positive purchase. Housing is CNC machined from aluminum billet; provides greater internal clearance to reduce drag and produce a smooth felt pull. Available in four weight-of-pull ranges. Models for pre-2006 manufactured rifles retain the factory safety lever and bolt release. Fits Remington 700, 40X, and pre-2006 Model Seven rifles.

Nice trigger assembly easy to install (2011-03-17)

This I installed myself a novice. It took a few times to get the spring that hold bolt catch in place. It's not mentioned in the instructions,it took some head scratching,cussing and then my HS-Precision Sand/black web Trapper 700 308 LT Tactical with fluted barrel w/56mm Trijicon is almost done. It should have a quick release swivel for a bi-pod but then complete! If I did it you can do it!!

Would look elsewhere for a replacement (2011-10-28)

Instructions were poor at best...got frustrated before even getting if completely installed; was hoping for a little more improvement over the numerous Timneys I have installed in customer guns, but this isn't it. Guess I will go back to Timney until something better comes along.

Great Trigger breaks clean and crisp (2014-10-09)

I was pleasantly surprised by this trigger. I bought it because i didn't want to wait for a Jewell trigger on back order. I love the trigger it came adjusted beautifully and is well tuned! I really can not tell any difference in the trigger pull or smoothness of this trigger versus my Jewell hvr triggers. The only thing I don't like is the trigger itself feels like it is cheaply chrome plated rather than machined like the jewel. But I can get over than real quick when I start shooting! This is a huge upgrade over the stock trigger and worlds better than any timney I've ever owned. In fact I have sold all my timneys and will never buy another one. This is the same price as a timney and has the quality performance of the Jewell!

P.s.

This trigger installs the same as every other Remington 700 trigger it is not hard to install.

Crisp and Precise (2013-02-14)

I Received the Remington Action 700 Rifle Basix L-1K trigger today. Following the simple and straight forward Remington 700 Install Video (found on the RB website), I had it installed in 15 minutes with no problems. My requested L-1 1.5# setting works Superbly...surprise release, breaks like glass, no creep or over-travel, and feels really Great...WOW!

I'll be taking my new custom .30-06 out to the range for barrel, action, trigger break-in and load ballistics testing. With this L-1 Rifle Basix trigger installed, I'm sure to get the best that this rifle is capable of shooting. Now, if I can just fix the uncontrollable variable...Me!

L-1 Triggers in Rem 700 PSS (2014-07-22)

I have the L-1 installed in both of my Rem 700 PSS, both 308 and 223 for the last 10+ yrs and 5000+ rounds each. Fairly easy to install with orig factory safeties. Called Rifle Basix with questions, and, he was extremely helpful with customer service. Set up each for safe operation at approx 2 1/2 lbs. Once set up and screws lock-tighted... has not changed at all. Every 1000+ or more rounds, I pull the receiver and clean sear mating surfaces with a small strip of clean paper through the keyhole, and reassemble. Good for another 1-2000 rounds unless minor dirt creeps in. I originally chose these over the other quality triggers because I wanted the orig Rem trigger style... wide surface and grooved. I normally shoot paper at 100-200 and metal silhouettes out to 800 yds and beyond. With these triggers and proper rifle setup, I can almost get benchrest accuracy at 100... 1/4" with 223 and under 1/2" 308, and hit bowling pins at 800 yds. I am Extremely Happy with these triggers and would recommend these to others. (former NRA instructor and shooting enthusiast).

Seemed like lower quality vs others (2014-09-12)

One of my function / safety tests is to tap lightly on the side of the action with a rubber mallet with the safety off to see if the firing pin drops. The Rifle Basix trigger set at 3.5 lbs would reliably drop the firing pin on the first or second tap . I haven't had any other 3.5lb+ trigger drop the firing pin. (I don't use any lighter pull weight). Take it FWIW - If you were to possibly hit or drop the rifle, situation would probably dictate that you have the safety on, or carry the rifle unloaded. I liked that the trigger shoe is similar to factory.

Excellent Trigger (2009-09-27)

Easy to install and adjust if needed and is easily converted for left hand rifles
