Excellent value (2014-02-23)

I have been reloading with Lee dies for about 10 years. They are excellent quality and make accurate ammunition. This die set made it affordable to shoot my surplus Czech Mauser.

Not as advertised (2014-01-27)

Product description says it "includes the factory crimp die". I assure you, it does not.

Buy at own risk (2014-10-26)

This is the worst die set that I have ever used.

It was producing ammunition that would not chamber, so I checked concentricity using a Sinclair gauge. The lee full length sizing die was producing sized cases that were up to .020 out of round at the neck. I floated the die body and shellplate, but the problem persisted.

I removed the decap/neck sizer and found the the die was sizing to .003 without the neck sizer. The neck sizer was not bent, meaning that the die body must have been drilled and tapped off center for the neck expander retaining nut.

The bottom line is that ammunition produced with these dies will be so out of round that it may not even chamber.

Good dies (2015-11-27)

These dies aren't equal to a set of Redding competition dies, but neither is the price. With a little patience you can load some great ammo.First I deprime with a universal depriming die. I use gauges to check my cartridges and just barely bump the shoulder back every time. Without a gauge it's easy to over size and wear out the cases. After sizing I trim, deburr, and clean up the primer pockets. Then I use the lee collet neck sizer. After I've primed and measure the powder, I seat the bullets with the standard lee seating die, rotating the case 180* then running it through the seating die again. . The rounds loaded with these Lee dies have given my GA Precision .30-06 consistent ammo that shoots in the .2's and .3's. No need for me to buy the expensive dies when I can do it with the Lee dies.

DO NOT BUY (2014-08-02)

horrible. the de-priming/sizing die falls apart, nearly impossible to put together. and even with the "Lee recommended" lube, it is still really rough. its only $30 so its a learning experience. just don't buy it.

Great Dies from Lee (2018-06-29)

Ive used dies from other manufactures. I have RCBS, Dillon, and Lee on my bench. For the price Lee cant be beat! They make a bullet that shoots as straight as the best of em!

Lee .223 die set (3 dies) (2017-08-16)

I've been successfully using my Lee .223 die set for around 5 years now. When reloading for semi-auto I full size my cases. When shooting my bolt action rifles I neck size only to keep fire formed cases. This three die set does not include the neck sizing die. One can purchase that separately. I've also moved away from the bullet seating die to a Forster Micro adjustable seating die. Makes a substantial difference in the concentricity and depth setting (O.A.L.) of ones cartridges. Lee makes consistently good / excellent dies. All of my pistol / revolver die sets are Lee too.
