A Rock-Solid Base for Your Brownells Vise You Can Easily Install & Remove at Will You want a high-quality bench vise for your gunsmithing setup, but you don't have the workbench real estate to commit to a permanent installation. This Clamping Rotary Base lets you quickly and easily set up the Brownells Gunsmith's Bench Vise on your workbench when you need it, and then just as quickly take it down and stow it when you don't. The heavy, ultra-stable base rests on the top of the bench, while the robust, over-engineered C-clamp reaches the underside of the bench to lock down the vise tight and secure. This base has a built-in 360-degree rotating mechanism, so you can angle it in the best-possible position for access to the workpiece clamped in it. Like our Gunsmith's Bench Vise itself, the Clamping Rotary Base is made of forged (not cast) steel for extra strength, with a smooth swiveling mechanism and a secure locking mechanism that ensures once you've positioned the vise where you want it, it won't budge while you're working. The green anti-corrosion finish matches the color of the vise itself.
