It's a neat little hammer and punch kit. You can keep the brass head and steel head in the hammer for a bit more power, or remove them both and use the plastic head only for delicate tasks. For lite use, such as driving pins, this kit is perfect. The punch fits inside the hollow handle. Think: "lite use" with this kit.
I used it to remove and install dovetail sights (both front and rear) on several older and newer .22LR rifles. A couple of my front sights were really tough to remove, but I stayed at it. The job really deformed the head of the brass punch. It almost looks like a mushroomed bullet that I recovered from an Elk. I originally bought it to keep in my travel gear, with the intent of using it to drift sights at the range. It might work for that purpose, provided the sights are not really tight. But, as I stated above, it's really not up to that task. I've ordered a stronger (?) drift punch, and hope it holds up to sight installation. I'm going to try to file this deformed punch flat. Good luck.
