Does not fit (2010-10-19)

It does not fit under my riser for my red dot sight.
Does not fit flush with the top rail.

A3 deflector mounted on A2 rifle (2010-10-24)

I mounted the unit under my A2 handle on the picatinny rail and it dropped right in. My unit has the two end prongs bent in for a shorter top mount optics - which I don't have but planned ahead :). The bent metal locked the unit in perfectly under my handle. After more than a case of ammo it is perfect and is a permanent part of my rifle now. Drops all brass about 18 inches to my right at 2 o'clock. No brass hitting other shooters and no brass hitting barriers and then hitting me.

Works (2012-11-11)

Will not work with AimPoint QRP mount, but then it's not listed as fitting. With a little (VERY little) skill it will fit a "flat top" (just bend the tabs to match flat top version's picture) and maybe an additional one (depending on your handle's underside). Finish is painted (or maybe powder coat) and does come off when you bend the tabs.

It's staying on my RRA EO2 "full time".

Bounces brass back into ejection port (2014-11-15)

Kept bouncing brass back into ejection port wedging it on top of the next round.

If you plan to shoot out of a helicopter with an AR it's a must. Been using them for Six Years now. You can sandwich one between the flat top and a Trijicon SRS with Colt nobs super easy. If you want to put one under the Quick detach SRS model you will also need to cut off one of the metal fingers on the TC eotch model and have it pressed with some thing like the colt nobs mount and it will work.

Choppers cost $10-$20 a minute don't get the mesh bag thing, it gets in the way of the door and most of your ammo will end up in the chopper floor if ya want it.

Very useful product (2010-12-30)

Very well made item. I installed mine on a flattop model very easily. I did have to do some fitting between the scope mounts but that was easy enough to do. Definitely makes keeping track of your brass a whole lot easier. Keeps the guys on the benches to your right happier also.

Best brass deflector on the market (2012-04-07)

Very well made and solid construction. All steel and blued. I also had to modify it to fit between the scope mounts. Brass is deflected down instead of away. You will not find a better product and the price if the best for the quality you are getting. I love this thing and you will too. I inspected the brass after shooting and found no dents or dings on any of them.

This deflector sat right on top of my bushmaster carbon 15. I'm left handed and I'm over with this item. It's freaking awesome..!!!

A Product that REALLY works (2014-05-15)

I have one of these units on every AR15 and AR10 that I own. Whether it's 5.56, .300 Blackout or .308 - all your spent casings fall into a neat little pile a foot in front of you and no more then 2' to the right. No more lost cases and picking them up out of a little pile is a breeze. Especially good for reloaders because you don't lose any brass. 5 Star product all the way.Rbylo1

FINALLY! something that actually works (2014-07-10)

I have tried the popular catchers on the market and they have caused problems with the thing coming loose and deflecting spent brass back in front of the bolt while it is cycling the next round.....STOPPAGE ...this deflector makes a nice pile of spent brass on the shooters table. No more crawling around looking for my brass.

Works Great (2014-09-25)

I have four ones of these on four different AR's and just ordered a fifth one. Nearly all the brass lands at your feet - - no chasing empties. I have never experience a jam with any of these.

I would not shoot my AR without one of these attached. Excellent product.

Shot twice, jammed twice (2015-06-30)

Easy enough to install but the spent case bounced back into the chamber area both times I fired , causing a jam. I'm the exception to the other guys that have had no problems with the deflector. I will be returning it for a refund.

Excellent (2015-08-30)

Ran one of these on an L1A1 7.62 SLR. Put about 18,000 rnds of Federal 130 grain tactical through it before it came apart, an excellent piece of kit, run them on all our culling weapons now

Versatile (2017-01-20)

The model I have with the eight tangs works great on my A4 removable carry handle AR whether I use the carry handle sights or have the scope mounted with a low adapter rail. A 2" notch along the solid side of the adapter rail allowed this to slide right into the receiver notches and do it's work. Puts the brass on the ground next to me. It slightly dents the case mouths, but they come right out during sizing. Great product!

Military tested and approved! (2010-11-04)

Being a small arms instructor for the military, I've been looking for a product like this for years. It works everytime with no jams of malfunctions. I no longer have shooters dancing around due to brass burns making my job that much safer!

For target shooters (2011-11-26)

I actually use this for running basic courses (Military). When the shooters are packed like sardines, this helps greatly with the "be kind to the neighbor on your right" concept. Not good for practical/tactical courses of fire, where malfunctions seem to happen. They happen more frequently with the frangible, which is becoming the norm for government ranges now. On a side note, pistol frangible drops quickly. I've had to aim for the head at 25 yards to get center mass shots with frangible. This is going to bite the military in the butt when this comes to light in court someday, since we fight how we train. But, if you are shooting slow-fire stages, this deflector is great. The fit can be tricky, but it gets in there eventually.

Works perfectly (2013-04-07)

Shooting from sandbags, the brass doesn't even roll off the table. I haven't lost a case since I started using this. It works perfectly: no hunting for brass and no inconvieniencing other shooters. Buy one.

T-C Brass Deflector (2013-11-21)

I put one on an older AR-15, and all the brass drops neatly in one pile. I was so pleased that I ordered 3 more for AR-15's in various configurations. Best product I have used for brass collection in these rifles.

Lefty with an A1 Approved (2017-11-10)

Admittedly I wasn't 100% sure on the differences between an A1 and A2 upper in this area of the carry handle, but figured if it wasn't quite right I could modify it to work.

Well I can report that it fits my A1 upper exactly as it appears to be designed to (and can thus assume that this portion of the A1 and A2 carry handle/upper is identical).

Haven't shot it yet, but don't feel I need to in order to give it a 5 star rating already. It locks in pretty tight (even tighter as I added a couple pieces of black electrical tape to protect my finish) and quality seems good to go.

Finally, no more brass dings on my upper, and more importantly, my face!

A3 Deflector works fine (2018-02-28)

Bought the A3 model to try out with my new ruger pc9 9mm carbine, just to prevent or reduce (Being a lefty) , the pc9 blowing back gas/particles on my cheek. Surprised to find it actually worked. So impressed bought another A3 for my DB9R 9mm rifle which has the same problem. Can always count on Brownells to come through with the right part or accessory.
