Excellent Value (2009-11-16)

These are super. I have several sets of the cheaper imported brass punches. The quality of these "Made in USA" punches blew me away. Not only are they nicely finished, they are a joy to use. Also included is a nice pouch so they don't end up scattered in your tool box or on the bench. I would buy these again and would recommend them to a friend.

Much nicer than the "plastic box" sets (2009-12-27)

These are great for gentle removal of pins from historic or surface critical items. The brass is still pretty soft, and bending is possible without care, but the punch is tapered from full diameter down to the pin punch size. The pin punch size is not the full length of the punch, which is good to add strength since the punch is the strike end length for much of the punch, but if it's a long pin, you might have to resort to another punch/method to fully drive the pin all the way the length of the pin.

Comments on the PSA-8 Grass Brass Punch (2012-12-06)

It didn't take long after receiving this items to know I had ordered a very professional punch set and not some piece of junk that would probably fall apart after first use. Having the different sizes which are tailored for hand guns and rifles roll pins would give anyone the capabilities to take down your weapons with ease. Having eight different sizes will definitely afford not having to order a special individual punch. I have already used this item and I can attest to it's usefulness in it's ability to push out roll pins. Each punch is clearly marked to its size and the roll-up kit that holds each in a separate slot. If you're in the market for a good punch set then look no further.

Bends easily, VERY soft (2013-03-26)

I bought these to replace an existing set of brass punches that have had years of use. Upon first use, I bent 2 of these punches with a light blow of a 6 oz nylon hammer to remove handgun pins. Couldn't believe how easy it was to bend them. Even the larger brass punches easily flair and bend at the head.

Good Punch Set (2014-09-04)

I have installed and/or adjusted several dovetailed sights with these and also installed a Majestic Arms quick strip kit and they will continue to get new tasks. Of course they're not as tough as steel punches, but they're my choice for preserving metal while still transferring plenty of a blow; just be careful on the smaller punches (not that steel doesn't bend too). Since they're brass they're also pretty easy to re-shape or cut if the tip does become damaged. The little plastic roll is handy, but sometimes the small punch on the end tries to escape; just watch them if you're working outdoors.
