With all of the benefits of the TSX, these bullets have a polymer tip that boosts B.C. and initiates expansion. The re-engineered nose cavity provides faster expansion and devastating terminal performance. Barnes’ TSX Bullet offers all the deadly effectiveness of the time-proven X Bullet. Features include all-copper construction, no fragmentation, rapid expansion, 28% deeper penetration than lead-core bullets, and maximum weight retention. The TSX has proven to be one of the most accurate hunting bullets available–a fact countless shooters have confirmed. An exclusive feature of the TSX Bullet is multiple, precisely engineered rings cut into the bullet shank. These grooved rings act as relief valves as bullet metal flows under pressure while traveling down the bore. Instead of flowing from the front to the base of the bullet, the copper material expands into the grooves. This results in reduced pressures and less copper fouling. Reduced pressures mean the bullet can be safely loaded to higher velocities. The rings also alter barrel harmonics, greatly improving accuracy. Polymer Tip Boat Tail

35 Whelen Magic(2018-07-05)
This is an idea bullet for the .35 Whelen cartridge. It has unparalled performance against any thin skinned animals.
It's bullet weight retention is almost 100%. For "primitive weapons" hunting in the deep South there is no better bullet when properly loaded.
The Future!(2015-07-14)
FIrst came across this round when hunting Kudu. The bullet had not exited. I was amazed to seethe perfect way the 4 petals had opened. They were not flexible. The bullet is a cutting tool rather than a plough.
Have used this round on Roe, Muntjac and fallow deer with excellent results. No excessive meat damage even with muntjac! From my evidence I believe this is the best bullet I've found bar none. I even use the TSX 250g in my 9.3 x 62 for Roe. Yes they do expand. I have yet to have a runner when using this bullet.
Spot on accuracy and performance(2015-07-21)
This excellent bullet is used for reloading a 7 x 30 Waters fired from a 21 inch scoped T/C Contender. This is my go to combination for hunting anything from eastern deer to large hogs.
So far, I have yet to fire a second round. Hard to beat one shot kills.
I was disappointed Barns did not make 160 gr. bullet in 7 mm
So I used the 150 on cow elk. The load was a little over 3000
fps in my 1968 model Rem. 700 and son-in-law"s 1975 model Winchester 70 Rem 7mm mag. There were 2 shots at 200
yards(one was through both shoulders) and 1 at 50 yards. All 3 shot were pass through and exit
wound appeared to indicate good expansion. I guess Barns
felt there was no need for 160 grain. I would agree on these elk
I did not need a bigger bullet. Plus, you gain a little more velocity and a little less recoil.
Great performance(2017-11-16)
Bullet has great knock down power. Expands great and goes where you aim. Have used in all our rifles and use nothing else when reloading.
Amazing bullets...(2016-01-09)
I have never used Barnes bullets before due to the price... I decided to take a leap of faith after building my 6.5 Grendel and I was not disappointed. I loaded them to factory recommendation, under a full load of RL-15 (my favorite powder, check with Barnes recommendation for what I loaded) and used a Wolf LR primer (all I can find around my area) with PPU once fired brass (not the best, but works decent enough). Surprisingly, this load fell DIRECTLY where my 123 A-Max (factory Hornady) load shoots, so zeroing the rifle was easy... I got this bullet for shooting Kansas Whitetail, where distance is not uncommon. My chrono was 2580fps out of a 24" barrel, AR-15 platform (Barnes calls for over 2700fps...) These rounds, without any tweaking, fell within a half inch circle at 100 yards (5 shots). I took them out this weekend and finally found a white tail I was able to get broadside. It was a 120lb deer, running parallel with me. I lead the deer just a shade too much and fired. Distance was about 100 yards, bullet entered JUST in front of the right shoulder, missing the bone, entered the body, shredded half the heart and smashed directly into the middle of the left shoulder blade. You can see that even after 2-3" of penetration (before hitting the heart) the bullet had expanded. After exiting the left shoulder, the exit hole was about the size of a silver dollar, and the bone was turned to dust, literally looked like sand in the wound. The deer limped another 50 yards and dropped where it expired. I will purchase more of these so I don't have to worry about finding another bullet in the future, as I found my hunting bullet. This is coming from a die hard Hornady guy, but they don't offer a 6.5 in 100gn... hint hint. Barnes filled that spot and they did an EXCELLENT job of it.
Great Shooter(2016-01-30)
I loaded these over 42 gr of IMR 4064 in my .308 gas gun and shot sub 1/2 MOA groups. Much more accurate than I every expected.
Accurate and great performance in magnum(2017-11-12)
I load this bullet in my 300 win mag at close to 3100 fps. Very accurate bullet. Also expands great even on small African plains game at 400 yards. Outstanding penetrating power as well. As long as you're over 2400 fps or so you'll get expansion.
Barnes 110gr TTSX flat base 30 cal(2013-10-28)
Excellent deer bullet for the 7.62x39 round
BOOM!!!!!(2013-11-17)
A friend gave me a handfull to try. This is just one great bullet. The amount of energy that was deleavered was awesome and didn't destroy the meat that bad.
Accurate +(2014-01-18)
Paper target shooting is what I do prior to a hunt. I get amazing accuracy with Dad's Sporter thin barreled Savage off-the-shelf 30.06 at 400 yards and Barnes 168 Grain TTSX all copper bullets. I shoot 3-5/8" 5-shot groups at 400 yards and clover leaf .270" center to center groups at 100 yards. I use Varget + fire-formed, neck sized Federal brass with Federal 210M primers. This is the "Sweet" load for this gun. (Your results may vary)
Great Deer Round(2011-11-14)
In developing a good load for deer hunting in my Sako .270 Winchester, I found that the Barnes bullets to be among the most accurate. I settled on the 110 gr. tipped TSX. My final load ended up at a velocity of 3,220 fps. I just got back from a hunting trip where I was extremely pleased with the performance of this bullet on a deer. Excellent product for hunting efficiency.
Great 308 Win., 300 Sav. Bullet(2014-08-31)
I decided to load this 130 gr Barnes TTSX when it first came out for my son-in-laws short barreled Rem M-7 in 308 Win. The increased velocity from a near max load of Benchmark powder flattened trajectory and he has dropped two very good E. Wash mule deer bucks with the load. They went nowhere!!
I also have a old bolt action 300 Sav. that shoots the load very accurately, but I haven't hunted it yet. The M-7 shoots consistent 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards. What else can you say! The only problem is finding someone that has them in stock when you need more of them. So far Brownell's has been my savior.
