D.S. ARMS AR-15/M16 MIL-SPEC BUFFER TUBE - D.S. ARMS RECEIVER EXTENSION TUBE

This receiver extension tube was too tight of a fit on for a milspec Magpul ACS stock. The stock will fit on, but is too tight to slide freely when released. Same stock slides as it should on three other receiver extensions.



Receiver extension worked with a standard buttstock that had more play in it.

I purchased this item for a bolt action application and wanted a good fit. It isn't oversized! Mine was actually undersized when compared to a standard milspec tube and has major "rattle". This may be why it was sold at such low priced. Asked for a refund... -no word yet.

My Mission First Minimalist stock won't fit over this buffer tube but does fit over the tube on my Colt LE6920.



The problem is the stock is designed for a tight fit which means it has a smaller inside diameter than mil spec and this buffer tube is designed for a tight fit which means a bigger outside diameter ( .003") than mil spec. Put the two together and they don't fit.

This is the mil-spec buffer tube that you need to install any one of the Slide Fire stocks to simulate automatic fire. Of course it doesn't come with the castle nut, buffer, plate or spring. It is the correct outside diameter to allow the stock to slide freely. It's a very nice tube for the money and should last for years. Make sure to buy lots of ammo!!!

all the other reviews raved about how snug their mil spec stocks fit on this tube but mine was not the case. Ordered a mil spec MOE stock to go with it, fits loose and rattles more than my commercial MOE stock and tube. (and yes I did verify that the stock was mil spec dimentions)Over all a decent part at a good price but don't expect more.

Finish is superb, fit is fantastic. Fit w/stock is superb, zero rattle/wobble (except fully closed, which seems to be an STR thing). This will be my go to RE from now on.

snug fit is great. I wish I had this a long time ago.

Almost difficult to move my Vltor stock out of its closed position, but I guess to tight is better than too loose.

Works great and no rattle from MOE stock. I have never seen one that fits as well as this does with so nice of a finish.

used this for my Troy MOD 1 M14/M1A build, and it works perfectly!

I've been doing a few AR builds and when the time came to find an extention tube, I looked around, checked the reviews and eventually bought this one. I was concerned about the price at first; usually cheaper doesn't mean better and this one's almost half the price of the others I looked at. I liked that it was .003" over in diameter so my stock wouldn't rattle. When I got it I was surprised by how well it's made and after I installed it on my Magpul M.O.E. I was very happy. No rattle at all. Later I bought another for a Magpul A.C.S. and you can't get a better fit than that one. All in all a great tube and really well made also. Don't be fooled by the price, that's just an added bonus. This tube is the best.

Found a great deal on an MOE stock but had the wrong buffer tube, this was a cheap fix. also remember to measure, my commercial stock had the mil spec features, but was the wrong size.

Great price and it has a nice tight fit with a Magpul MOE stock.

I used this buffer tube and castle nut in building a lower receiver. The tube is well made and has a good fit and excellent finish.

I was originally looking for parts at the local gun show and couldn't find anything with better quality or finish. Even better, the price from Brownells was also less expensive by about $10.

I just used this tube for my AR build. It worked perfectly. I did however forget to order the plate and lock nut so don't forget those when you order this part. Used with Mil spec Magpul MOE butt stock and the fit is very good will no rattling.

I purchased two of these for builds on Aero Precision lowers. The parts were cleanly machined and nicely finished. Threaded perfectly to receiver without play. Best part is that they don't cost an arm an a leg in comparison to other manufacturers offering the same product that does the same job. I will be purchasing more and would certainly recommend. The parts seem to keep in-step to what I have read about DSA quality of manufacturing. Thank you.

This is a great stock for the price. However, my only complaint is for Magpul friction lock users. I have a Magpul ACS stock and the friction lock will not lock the sotck up as tight as other stocks. If you don't care about a little wiggle it is no big deal. If you want the Magpul stock to be solid you might try another stock.

Great price, good finish and fit. Works well with my Magpul Mil Spec MOE stock.
