Magpul Original Equipment (MOE) carbine buttstock provides the quality, durability, and ergonomic benefits of Magpul’s CTR stock in a rugged, economical, drop-in package. Strong, A-frame design is lightweight and comfortable, yet provides operator with plenty of support. Comb contour is wider than standard issue M4 stock to help shooter maintain a solid, consistent cheekweld. Streamlined exterior and protected release lever won’t snag on clothing, gear, vehicle interior, or vegetation. Heavy duty, spring-loaded release lever allows fast length-of-pull adjustments and won’t dig into your hand. Impact- and heat-resistant, polymer construction includes molded-in reinforcements at stress points, plus two slots for web slings and a hole for a toe-mounted sling swivel or clip-on sling. Soft, synthetic rubber buttpad increases comfort and helps prevent slippage.Commercial fits larger, 1.17" O.D. commercial carbine buffer tubes. Buffer tube, carbine buffer, receiver extension nut, and carbine-length action spring not included. Available in Black.

Good Value (2016-03-11)

Make no mistake, for all its popularity the MOE isn't perfect. The fit is on the loose side (the MOE SL and CTR both fix this in their own ways), resulting in some rattle. Another issue is that the buttpad, being slightly concave and widening toward the top, is not shaped especially well for a modern "squared up" stance (another thing fixed on the SL). That said, the price is right, the quality is excellent, and the function is easy, so if you're on a tight enough budget that the extra $20 for the SL makes you cringe, this is probably the way to go.

Good product (2009-11-21)

I used it on a M10/9 submachine gun with a Lage upper and AR stock conversion.

Works better than the factory wire stock and looks better too.

Seemed to fit a little tighter when brand new, but it's still a better than a regular M4 stock on my AR's.

Beats a factory stock, but not a CTR (2010-01-30)

I put this stock on my Rock River Arms LAR-15. After some research I knew I needed a Commercial Spec. stock. I mostly wanted this stock because the plastic checkering on the butt of my factory stock made recoil uncomfortable. I also wanted something a bit more resilient and something that fit the buffer tube a bit tighter. Well, it came through with flying colors on the first two; it has a rubber buttpad which makes it much more comfortable on the shoulder, and it is made of a thicker, tougher polymer than the factory stock. I'm sorry to report that it still is very wiggly on the buffer tube, only a bit less than the factory stock. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for. If you want a tight fit plus everything else, buy the CTR.

Must Buy (2010-10-14)

I bought one of these for my AR-15 awhile ago and I love it. I liked it so much that I recently installed one on my Rem. 870 collapsible stock set. I like that the adjusting lever is encased by the stock so there is a limited chance of accidentally extending or collapsing the stock. This stock also has an agressive look which I like on my tactical weapons. The quality is great and the price isn't bad. I installed this on two differnt style buffer tubes and both times it fit securely and snug to the tube so there is no rattling.

I highly recommend this stock and will be installing it on all my of rifles/shotguns.

Bestbang for the buck (2010-12-28)

If you want function without the tactical fluff, this is an excellent stock. There aren't compartments for batteries, mags, or three days rations. It has a good cheek weld and perfect contour on the butt. It doesn't lock solid, but that is of little concern to me. It doesn't rattle. MOE is the best buy in all areas of AR parts.

Awesome Stock (2011-04-12)

I have this mounted on my shotgun and I love it, it is sturdier and more stable a platform then the other stocks I have used. VARY HAPPY! One thing I would suggest is to get the extended but-pad if you are using a larger caliber like .308/7.62, or 12gauge in my case. It makes shooting more comfortable. Also make sure you choose between commercial and milspec they are completely different sizes.

just buy it!!!! (2011-12-22)

Ummm...lets see, it now standard on Larue,DD,LWRCI,and some bushmasters, apparently if your reading this then your un-aware of the great product it is and Magpul quality, stop waisting time find out if yours is mil-spec or commercial and install it. PS dont waste money on the CBR stock this is all you will need
