Do NOT purchase if you own a Para P14.45 (2010-02-06)

I bought this to replace my oem spring in my Para Ordnance P14.45. It is a really great part, don't get me wrong, it just doesn't fit my gun.

The description from Brownells states that it will work in most Para frames so I purchased it. What was happening was, when the firearm was fired a fews times, I would hear an audible click. The slide would go back after each fire and then stick. I would have to remove the mainspring housing while the slide was locked back to pull the spring back off the sear.

What happens is the disconnector would fall BEHIND the middle leaf on the spring and compress the trigger. In other words, the middle leaf is too short. I checked it next to my oem spring and according to my eyes, is about a centimeter too short. I placed my oem spring back in and had no problems.

Item is a well made item though. Can definitely tell it is not a cheap metal being used.

Bullet Proof Sear Spring (2012-08-16)

I have this in a Taurus PT1911 Project pistol. The grip safety is very loose after several installs (to make sure it was in correctly) although, at first I was slightly skeptical....I actually like it much much better because it makes the grip safety easier to depress limiting the poosibility of not engaging the grip safety enough when reaching for your weapon in a stressful situation. But still, practice makes better!

Sear Spring (2012-08-18)

I replaced the old sear spring in a used 1911 I bought with this one. It took me about 20 mins to get the spring adjusted just right, good fit, great function, great price. Two thumbs up.

works well (2014-03-30)

I installed this spring in a Kimber Target Match .45, a limited edition pistol that doesn't feature a firing pin safety.

The Wilson sear spring fit right in to the gun with no adjustment needed.

It gave a smooth feel to the trigger and restored the proper tension to the grip safety.

The spring doesn't really have blued finish, it is more like a grey color, not that it matters but I thought I'd mention it.

Great sear spring (2014-07-05)

Replaced a 4 blade spring with this one, great move on my part, I guess the 4 blade is OK, but I will not go back. the 3 blade seems so much stronger, does a beautiful job. Again, I have used Wilson parts for many years, never a problem.

23lb seems to be perfect for my 1911 (2015-06-18)

The 23lb bullet proof sear spring works great with the other parts that I've had NP3+ coated and installed/adjusted by robar.

The combination of the deluxe sear & XP firing pin return spring with Wilson's combat bulletproof firing pin, 23lb hammer spring which keeps a 5lb pull for competition and is better for personal protection as this isn't a target pistol where a 18 or 19lb hammer spring is great but not what you want for LEOs or personal protection.
