This is for .45 but will work w/ 9mm,40(2015-03-14)
I bought this by mistake, because I have a 9L(with thumb safty cutout) that had the old 1/16" sear spring and plunger.
However, after a detailed side to side compare, this .45 sear housing block is the same housing block as the one used in the 9mm/40SW. The ONLY part that's different is the ejector size (.45 ejector is much shorter)
So I basically swapped out my 9mm ejector and put it in the .45 sear housing block, and installed in my 9L, absolutely no issues.
This is for the newer M&Ps with the thumb saftey cutout or thumb safety. Also this comes with magazine lock-out but it can be removed.
Contrary to the Q&A, this Sear Housing Block IS set up for the 45 with manual thumb safety. However, it does not come with the safety lever, spring or detent that insert into the large left side slot pictured by linkmodo. If your objective is to upgrade to the larger sear plunger and spring and currently have the thumb safety model, this part is perfect for you. Just move those parts over and install. You can also switch out the spring to remove the magazine lock to match your original equipment.
