Professional Retical Leveling System: The Wheeler Professional Reticle Leveling System is a precision tool and technique designed to allow a scope to be perfectly leveled on any firearm with ease. CNC machining, factory adjusted calibration set screws, anodized aluminum construction and protective molded case put this instrument in a class of its own. The system is comprised of two machined aluminum level housings calibrated to their integrated levels. The Barrel Clamp Level is attached to the guns barrel while the smaller Reference Level is placed on scope base, bottom half of a ring or other flat surface perpendicular to the vertical axis of the gun. The gun is then rotated until the Reference Level is aligned. The tuning adjustment knob on the Barrel Clamp Level is then turned until its level is centered to match the Reference Level. At this point the Barrel Clamp Level is calibrated to the guns axis. The Scope can be installed loosely and the Reference Level placed on top of the scopes turret cap. The scope is rotated until the Reference Level is aligned with the Barrel Clamp Level and then simply secured in place. The Wheeler PRLS is the most effective instrument available for precision scope alignment.

Warning (2013-07-03)

Until the manufacturer fixes their product quality control "system" I would highly recommend buying a different product. I bought one and when I received it I found the liquid was gone from the levels. I exchanged it and the replacement unit did work well and then I put it back in it's padded case and into the drawer of optic equipment. I pulled it out today, (about a month after storing it), and found the liquid missing from the smaller "control" level. Not sure if they are working on fixing this but until you hear differently, I'd advise a pass. Caveat being that it did work very well the ONE time I was able to use it.

Super Great product (2013-11-21)

I have had this product for 2 years now. It is one of the finest levels for setting scopes I have ever used. I use this product almost daily. I have even dropped the smaller level a couple times with no problems.

fast and easy (2014-12-13)

I have used this a lot, it works great and make leveling your scope fast. I see one guy did not have fluid in his level just send it back and Brownells will make it right.

Precision mounting for scopes! (2015-02-15)

Have used one since they were first introduced. I Have lost count of the scopes I have mounted and the ones I have RE-mounted correctly after being installed by the guns owner.

Makes getting a true ZERO angle between the firearms receiver and the scopes horizontal reticle line easy and more importantly, repeatable. after mounting a scope with this tool and the use of a anti cant level on your scope, You will be able to accurately shoot long distances and make adjustments that will be "right on target"

Should have bought this years ago! (2015-03-22)

So easy to use and works so well it is embarrassing. You do need something to hold the gun upright horizontal - and this let me level the crosshairs perfectly and easily. It will never wear out either. Buy it.

BEST WHEELER PRODUCT I'VE USED!!! (2017-11-03)

Until now, I've been mounting scopes the old fashioned way. This product is pretty well made considering it intended purpose. This is one of the easiest and cheapest product that absolutely works as advertised. Other stuff from Wheeler leaves something to be desired, usually. This makes easy work of mounting a scope the best possible way that I know of. As so many say for a product such as this, I should have got this years ago. Even comes with a protective case so it won't get beat up so bad. Takes the guesswork out of aligning things. This one is a must have if you mount your own scopes.

Simple tool that works! (2017-12-21)

Anyone mounting a scope could benefit from this tool. It is easy to use and accurate. This isn't something swinging around with you in the field so many points don't matter! I don't care that it is heavy or not. It works in my shop as have other leveling systems. I just simply can't make any improvements on this one. Wheeler has not traditionally been my go to vendor but, they did a very nice job with this tool.
