Excellent Practical Design(2010-01-09)
The MAG POUCH is an excellent well made solution for carrying a spare magazine. The concept is functional, comfortable and finally available. The belt location enables quick reloads while keeping both eyes on the target. This is now part of the standard equipment for Chicago LE.
LE use(2010-03-02)
I did 2 carbine courses and wear this on my belt while working and don't even notice that it is there. A good option for "skinny" people with little space on their duty belt. I carry a 20rnd mag in it and do not notice it when driving my vehicle, out walking, or when bending over to pick something up.
I like it, but(2010-03-10)
This product is just what I was looking for. I carry it on duty with my 20 rnd mag. It's comfortable when I ride and does not get in the way. I was however disappointed that the corners cracked. I have shown this product to other officers on my department and they like it and will probably order their own. I would recommend this product but be sure the inspect it often for the cracks in the corners.
Adds a bit of weight & bulk to your belt(2010-03-20)
I bought this as well as the paddle that is supposed to hold it tighter to your belt. The paddle must be taken on and off everyday (plastic clips seem like they are going to break) as there is no way to put your duty belt on and get that paddle inside your pants waistband. Now I already have a double mag pouch for my Springfield XD with two 13 round clips (quite heavy) and with this on my belt this pistol clips seem to stick out too far. I do like having the 20 round carbine clip on my belt, but I just took it off last night due to the weight and bulk issues. But like someone mentioned, if you have a smaller waist, this is your only option.
Failed(2010-04-18)
I bought one of these for work and the corners where the screws are that attached to your duty belt broke. This is not a quality product and may possible get you hurt if you lose all your ammo.
I would recommend this(2010-05-05)
Bought this a couple months ago and love it. Solves a relevant problem for me on patrol. Only issue I had was I noticed last week a crack on the corner of the belt plate, contacted Center Mass and they quickly sent a replacement...it may have been a problem with the polymer or may have happened on duty...either way they took care of me...great folks!!!....STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT
Not for Partol use(2010-06-02)
I bought this one month ago and started out carrying a 20 rd Pmag. Wore it on duty for a total of 8 days when one of the corners where your duty belt attaches broke off. Great Idea. Needs work.
Fills the void for rifle armed Officers(2010-11-29)
Saw this at the Shot show, talked with the guys there and they explained all the uses for it.
I use this not only on Patrol but also have one for my molle vest.
For the rifle armed patrol Officer this provides an excellent option to ensure you have additional ammunition at all times.
So far no problems with it at all and its almost been a year from purchase.
Great Idea, Poor Execution(2010-11-29)
I spent 3 hours trying to make this work. When installed on my Bianchi Nylon belt, The unit was not tight enough and slid back and forth with ease. If I moved it to the position behind my pistol mags, where the belt "doubles over" it put considerable strain on the corners, and flexed the pouch to the point of making it too tight to fit a magazine. No matter where I put it, it just wouldn't work.
Location wasn't the only problem. I found it impossible to adjust the tension to a point that would hold a 20 rnd Pmag securely. The pouch seemed a little on the thick side, too. I run a Sig P220 for duty (single stack 45) and with this thing, I felt my pistol mags stuck out way to far. It was almost like a buddy's quad Glock 9mm pouch - just too big.
Adjustments were tedious, and pray you don't have to remove any of the tension screws near the bottom of the pouch. The "nut" if you will was constantly falling out, and it was positioned far enough in that I could not reach it with my fingers. Try holding a T-nut in place with a pencil while trying to tighten a screw, all while twisting your duty belt with everything else on it ....
Like I said, great idea, poor execution.
I'd recommend this product to others!(2010-11-30)
I recently purchased the Patrol Integrated Mag Pouch and have used it in numerous training evolutions before using it on the street. I've found the IMP mounted easily to my duty rig and had no problem mounting my double mag pouch to the product. I did have to make minor adjustments to the tension screws to get the tension I wanted for my rifle mag. Once completed the mag remained secured during very physical activities such as crawling, going over fences, etc. I still maintain my stock mounted mag pouch but I rely on my mag in the IMP for my speed reload. I think having a single location for my pistol mag's and my rifle mag a GREAT asset. To this point I have nothing but good things to say about the IMP. I just wish I'd have thought of it first!
A must for road patrol(2010-12-01)
Purchased my first Patrol rifle mag pouch at Shot Show last year. I wore it every day on the road and broke a corner during a foot pursuit/tackle. Manufacturer replaced with a generation 2 model. After several scuffles and foot pursuits I haven't had any problems or cracks. A must for any officer who carries a patrol rifle on the road.
Great idea poor execution(2011-04-29)
Use this on my duty belt. Did not fit my Bianchi Mag Pouch. I had to heavily modify my mag pouch to make this work. However the idea is great. We are currently modifing this design to make it work correctly. We added velcro on the inside of the retention clamp to get the pouch to stop creeping on our belt.
A must have for patrol rifle users(2012-02-28)
Saw this at a conference and bought one for my rifle mag. Attached easily and did not stick out nearly as far as I thought it would. Holds the extra magazine (20rd PMAG) nicely and I like having one on hand in case of an emergency. I read some reviews where corners broke, but the GEN 2 seems tougher and I have not had any problem with it at all.
Integrated Mag Pouch(2012-05-30)
I've used the integrated magazine pouch for several years on patrol. Somewhere along the line one of the very small nuts became dislodged and lost. I contacted Center Mass, the manufacturer and they were more than helpful even though my IMP was way out of warranty.
A good piece of equipment, from a great company!
a must-have(2013-05-27)
I added this to my patrol belt over a year ago, and it has worked perfectly. You are able to save belt space and stay within department guidelines as to how your belt needs to be configured.
I first used a 20-rd mag since it fit flush, but have since started using a 30-rd mag, since I like the comfort of having an extra ten rounds! :)
Poor quality(2014-07-12)
I really liked this when I first put it on my duty belt. Unfortunately I have had two break in the last three or four years.
Gen 2 works great(2017-06-16)
I broke two of the earlier first generation models, as it seems did other reviewers. The latest generation includes reinforcements that have eliminated this issue. Manufacturer also has longer, extended screws to allow this to work with doubled nylon belts in 11-o'clock position next to buckle. Black 20-rd PMag is inconspicuous against navy uniform shirt. Highly recommended.
long time use(2018-02-14)
I have used this pouch for about for about five years, although that may seem like a long time, I only give it three stars, because as other people have stated, the corners break and the screws come loose. I was fortunate enough that when the screws came loose for me, I was sitting in my vehicle, as I exited it, the pouch went flying. I was able to pick it up and throw it on the driver seat. When I returned to the car, I found the lost screws. I would still recommend this product, however only if the user Loctite's the screws before fielding it.
First application: Uncle Mikes Nylon belt
Second 5.11 Sierra Bravo belt.
The pouch does slide each time I take the belt off and has to be moved when I put the belt back on.
I have this pouch behind my pistol magazine pouch which is vertical. Anyone who is bicycle certified and their mag pouch digs into their thigh while riding, this may help. Works for me.
I wish it was more durable, but I do recommend it and will probably purchase again.
