Excellent(2015-02-28)
Used on an STI frame and worked perfectly. Kept the rails square and allowed me to get a perfect slide to frame fit.
frame rail tool(2015-11-02)
great tool, get the assorted grit stone set from everglades (did see them offered by Brownells) also cleans up the slide(just not as fast as the frame. Great tool when used with the powers slide clamp.
Worth the money (2018-06-23)
This IS worth the money but buying additional stones makes it much better. Best of all you can use files instead of stones which multiplies the usefullness and versatility of this tool by a considerable margin. Donât overtighten as files are brittle but since the tool will grip the fileâs teeth easily, the screws can be just finger tight and still hold the file easily. Tighten the center screw first and hardest, the outside screws should be just tight enough to stabilize the file. The weight of the tool reduces the effort needed to cut quickly and the generous flat surfaces help to eliminate wobble and âwalkingâ of the file or stone over the work being surfaced. Another tool I wish I had bought when I first started building and tinkering with my various projects.
